Tracing with Nortel DTT

Using the HNPACODE Table as an example, this task will show you how the Nortel DTT can launch a trace of a tuple from one table to other tables using the local Trace button.

There are 2 methods of tracing in Nortel DTT.

Follow the steps below for tracing with the To option.

  1. Start the Nortel Digit Translation Tool and select an MTX in the MTX List Box.
  2. Click the HNPACONT button on the toolbar-Nortel DTT displays the HNPACODE Table.
  3. Select Npa from the Key field selector, and from the Left Grid, click on 330 (or any other Npa value). The main grid will display all Npa=330 records.
  4. Click on a record in the Main Grid.
  5. Click Trace > to RTEREF table (STS=x) (x indicates the STS value of the line selected in the Main Grid)-Nortel DTT opens the RTEREF Table to display all records with STS=x, without closing the HNPACODE.

Nortel DTT executes all traces to a specific table in the same manner.

In this option, Nortel DTT lets you enter values for certain parameters (or choose default values) and executes the trace going forward through all tablel to the Trunking Tables.
