Digit Translation Tool

Translation management simplified

Imagine being able to specify where every number on your system actually lives. That is exactly what 3D Cellular's Digit Translation Tool (DTT) can do for you. By processing more calls to the correct switches, DTT will vastly improve efficiency when viewing wireless databases for one or more systems.

DTT allows for mass viewing, interrelationship searches, auditing and editing of routing databases. Troubleshooting is easier especially with the Audit feature that finds missing or incorrect form interrelationships.

The DTT has undergone more than 20 years of real-world implementation. Database conversions to and from all industry standard databases, such as Lucent, Nortel, Ericsson and Nokia, have been fully tested and proven to work flawlessly in real-world applications.

Top DTT Features
  • LERG Wizard updates routing tables in minutes from the LERG CD
  • Trace displays routing database interrelationships
  • Scheduler precisely schedules switch updates
  • Clone copies routing records & downloads script to multiple switches
  • View LERG databases in separate windows to query, sort and print
  • Audit finds missing or incorrect routing interrelationships
  • Update Routings compares all routings against the LERG database and updates

3D Cellular Automation Tool Solutions

Automatic LERG Update

  • 3D Cellular's Digit Translation Tool (DTT) imports monthly LERG data and combines it with the numbering database tables (Dplan, Hnpacode, ANBSP, etc.) used by wireless system providers.
  • The Digit Translation Tool uses a Graphical User Interface that allows point and click functionality and automation not available in any other telecom system.
  • Each switch can be configured with a Local Calling Area and automatic LERG updates can be scheduled, streamlining workloads for engineers.
  • The Digit Translation Tool allows for audits and updates. It automatically creates scripts and undo scripts so systems are easily kept up-to-date.

Least Cost Routing (LCR) Feature
  • 3D Cellular's Digit Translation Tool has the unique ability to combine LERG data with switch data. This allows for simple configuration of Least Cost Routing (LCR).
  • A pre-LCR audit is performed to allow corrective action for obvious errors. No configuration is needed for the pre-LCR audit.
  • The Digit Translation Tool is then used to automate LCR. A yearly CLLI and route verification is the only maintenance required.
  • The Digit Translation Tool uses audits to find any discrepancies in Dplan/Tree entries. Scripts are automatically generated and engineers can evaluate and execute these easily and efficiently.
  • 3D Cellular's Digit Translation Tool is available for Alcatel-Lucent, Nortel, Ericsson and Nokia switches.

Key Benefits
  • Automated LERG updates and LCR features save valuable time.
  • Automatic Script generation maximizes accuracy.
  • Ease-of-use allows engineers greater productivity.
  • Modern software capabilities, features and an advanced interface improve reliable wireless services.
  • The flexibility and adaptability of 3D Cellular Automation Tools allows our software updates to remain current with on-going changes in wireless telecommunications systems.
